Boswellic acids maintain healthy 5–lipoxygenase (5–LO) activity, moderating leukotriene biosynthesis. Data suggests that of the various boswellic acids, 3–acetyl–11–keto–beta–boswellic acid, or AKBA, is considered the most powerful.
