  
Indole-3-carbinol (I3C), naturally found in vegetables including broccoli, brussels sprouts and cabbage, induces phase I and phase II liver detoxification enzymes and maintains healthy estrogen metabolism. Clinical trials suggest that I3C has the ability to promote healthy 2-hydroxyestrone (2-OHE) and 16alpha-hydroxyestrone (16alpha-OHE) ratios, providing a potential mechanism for breast health support.
