Petadolex® 50 mg 50 gels - Pure Encapsulations

  

Butterbur is a perennial shrub with a 2,000-year history of traditional use.  In the last twenty-five years, it has been trusted extensively throughout Europe by neurologists and other health professionals.  Petadolex®, a patented form of butterbur extracted from the root and standardized to contain a minimum of 15% petasin and isopetasin, has been studied for healthy cranial vessel support.  Petasin-containing extracts of butterbur may also help to maintain healthy histamine and cytokine release.  In one clinical trial with 60 participants, Petadolex showed the potential to support cranial vessel comfort and was well tolerated.  After a twelve-week period, almost eighty percent of participants supplementing with Petadolex indicated a supportive effect.  
In part, the mechanism for this action may involve a supportive spasmolytic effect on smooth muscle in cranial blood vessels.  A second study with 229 individuals indicated similar positive results.  In this trial, optimal dosing of Petadolex provided significant support compared to placebo within one month.  After three months, over seventy percent of individuals experienced a positive outcome.  A petasin-containing butterbur leaf extract has been shown to maintain proper histamine and cytokine release.  In two clinical trials, butterbur maintained healthy nasal histamine release and leukotriene activity, supporting both subjective and objective parameters.  Petadolex is standardized to contain at least 7.5 mg petasins per 50 mg and is processed to remove pyrrolizidine alkaloids.  

Petadolex® provides high capacity support for healthy cranial blood vessel function.  Butterbur may also promote immune function by maintaining healthy histamine and cytokine release.

Each softgel capsule contains:
butterbur extract (28-44:1) (Petasites hybridus (root) 50 mg.
(standardized to contain 7.5 mg of petasin and isopetasin)
other ingredients: riboflavin, glycerol, gelatin, sorbitol

2-3 capsules per day, in divided doses, with meals.
